Great filament selection

I ordered some PETG Filament last week and it arrived in perfect condition! I got the green one and it prints beautifully on my machine. The color is so vibrant, and I really like the spool design too. Shipping took about 4 days to get to me in Oregon, which was faster than I expected. I will definitely be back for more colors and will tell my friends who also print!

Good deal on a 4K printer

I was looking for a new 4K Resin Printer and stumbled upon 3D Printernational. I signed up for their newsletter and got a 10% off code, which made the purchase feel like a really good deal. I compared prices with a few other stores, and with the discount, this was the best value I could find. The printer arrived in about 6 days, which was fine. I also picked up some Water Washable Resin to try out, and that was reasonably priced too. Overall, it felt like a smart purchase and I saved a bit of money.

Is the Wash and Cure Station worth it for resin prints?

N NehaSingh 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Absolutely. It makes cleanup so much easier and less messy. Plus, consistent curing.

D DivyaSharma 4 weeks ago
Couldn't imagine doing it manually anymore.
5
R RohitKumar 4 weeks ago
Lifesaver, honestly.
2
K KiranPatel 4 weeks ago
You *can* do it manually with tubs and a UV light, but the station is way more convenient.

V VivekGupta 4 weeks ago
Yeah, I started manual and upgraded. No regrets.

Need a magnetic build plate for my FDM. Any recommendations?

A AnjaliRao 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Just get one from 3D Printernational. They usually have good quality ones that fit standard beds. Make sure to check your size.

G GauravSharma 2 weeks ago
Yeah, their magnetic plates are solid.

S ShreyaVerma 2 weeks ago
So much better than scraping prints off.

P PranavJain 2 weeks ago
I actually prefer glass sometimes, but magnetic is good for ease of removal.

M MansiShah 2 weeks ago
Glass can be annoying to get prints off sometimes though.

Considering an upgrade: Silent Mainboard or Auto Leveling Kit?

S ShaliniVerma 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Silent Mainboard first, 100%. The noise reduction is a game-changer. Auto leveling is nice but not as critical for quality of life.
6
R RakeshSingh 1 week ago
Second this. My printer used to drive me nuts.
0
P PoojaSharma 1 week ago
Makes a huge difference, especially if it's in a living area.
2
S SureshReddy 1 week ago
Auto Leveling Kit saves so much frustration with bed leveling. Depends what bothers you more.
5
D DivyaPatel 1 week ago
Both are good upgrades eventually.

Looking for an FDM 3D Printer for a beginner. What's a good first one?

M MeenaPatel 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Any of the entry-level FDM printers they sell are usually good. Look for something with good community support online.
12
N NishaVerma 1 week ago
Definitely check if they have a student discount!

S SanjayRao 1 week ago
Creality printers are popular for beginners there.

G GautamReddy 1 week ago
Don't go too cheap, you'll just get frustrated. But no need for the most expensive either.

Best filament for miniatures? PLA, ABS, or PETG?

R RahulVerma 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
PLA Filament is usually the easiest to print with for minis. Less warping.
12
P PoojaJain 4 weeks ago
And less smell than ABS!

D DeepakMalhotra 4 weeks ago
Agreed, especially for fine details.
6
M MeeraDesai 4 weeks ago
PETG Filament if you need a bit more durability and don't mind slightly more stringing.
6
A ArjunNair 4 weeks ago
Hmm, I've had good luck with PETG for small stuff.

What's the difference between Standard Resin and Tough Resin?

A ArjunKumar 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Standard Resin is brittle once cured. Tough Resin is more flexible and less likely to snap. Good for functional parts.
9
P PriyankaSingh 2 weeks ago
Yeah, standard is fine for display pieces. Tough for anything that might get handled.
3
R RajeshGupta 2 weeks ago
Tough resin can be a bit more expensive, but worth it for durability.
4
S SmitaNair 2 weeks ago
Tough resin also sometimes has a slightly different feel and finish.
2
K KaranJoshi 2 weeks ago
True, I noticed that too.

Are these guys legit? Like, are the printers actual brand name stuff or some knock-offs?

S Sam 3 months ago
Yeah, totally legit. I got an Anycubic from them and it's been great. They're an authorized dealer for a bunch of brands.
2
F Faith V. 3 months ago
100% real. My Creality was from there and I even used the manufacturer's warranty later without issues. So they're definitely selling the real deal.

Is a Filament Dryer really necessary?

V VivekMalhotra 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
If you live in a humid area or use hygroscopic filaments like PETG or Nylon, yes. It prevents stringing and poor print quality.
12
A AnjaliSharma 1 week ago
Even PLA can benefit if it's old or exposed.
6
R RohanGupta 1 week ago
Totally. My PETG prints got way better after I got one.
5
D DeepaJoshi 1 week ago
For PLA in a dry climate, you can probably skip it at first. But it's a good upgrade later.
5
K KunalPatel 1 week ago
I just use my food dehydrator, works fine.
